Tiwa Savage Breaks Silence On Rumoured Romance With Wizkid – Talks Teebillz

Multiple award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage appears to have for the first time broken her silence on rumours that have persisted on social media that she and Wizkid are lovers.

The pair have been spotted a few months ago together in several pictures and various occasions and they even performed a few shows – leading to many speculating that perhaps there was something more between the two.

However, in an interview with Soundcity radio 98.5, Tiwa disclosed that she has grown thick skin to rumours and insinuations.

Her words: “I heard all sorts of stories about Wizkid and I, but I chose to ignore them.

“At a point, people said I was dating Humblesmith; later they mentioned another (artiste?). How long will I continue to debunk these rumours. I have been in the music industry for quite a while and I have grown a thick skin, so certain rumours or insinuations don’t get to me again.”

The “Malo” crooner also had something to say on her crashed union with Teebillz.

She said it is a very sensitive issue and some persons would take her comments out of context.

“Marriage is a very sensitive matter that I would not want to delve into at this time. Whatever I say now might be taken by the other party in another way. More so, I respect TeeBlliz and our son. I don’t think it is proper to be discussing this matter on air.”

Tiwa Savage was also disapproving of the comparisons to Beyonce that she gets a lot and said they are different entities.

She said: “I wish people could stop comparing me to Beyonce. I respect her because she’s about the best female artiste in the world, but I don’t think I want to be like her. I would rather like to be myself. There is no basis for me to be like her or anyone. I don’t know why people think I am obsessed with her. I want to be on my lane and be known as Tiwa Savage, not Beyonce.”

“Nasty C is taking rap music to another level right now; he is doing a great job. I cannot count how many times Wizkid has called me the biggest rapper in Africa. It is unwise to want to be called the best all the time. I think my focus now is always to do my best, not to be the best. I am a big fan of Nasty C and I appreciate everything he does.

“Since I called out Nigerian rappers to fix up their lives, I have seen changes. I believe that we have great and talented rappers in Nigeria; I was just trying to wake them up from their slumber.”

On his new 10-track album, he said.

“This album is more personal to me and deeper than my previous albums. I like you to listen to it and tell me what you feel about it. I talked about mental health, low self-esteem, depression and other issues people battle with every day. I like all the songs; I don’t have a favourite track.”

The album, released midnight on Friday is M.I’s second album in 2018; the first, “Rendezvous” was released in February.

The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) on Tuesday, August 28, released the full list of nominees for its 2018 edition, and top Nigerian artistes, Davido, Wizkid, and South African star, Nasty C were among those who made the list.

Naomi Campbell Takes Wizkid As Her Date To The 2018 GQ Awards

Multi-award winning Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun, on Wednesday, September 5, attended the 2018 GQ Men Of The Year Awards with international model, Naomi Campbell.

The GQ Men Of The Year Awards, which are now in their 21st year, celebrate successful men and women who have helped to shape the world’s cultural landscape over style, politics, entertainment and sport during the course of the year.

And this year’s star-studded award ceremony took place at the Tate Modern, London.

The 48-year-old model arrived at the venue of the event, holding hands with the 28-year-old singer, who wore a sporting white Nike sneakers, a stylish three piece suit with a satin lapel detail, satin trimmed trousers and a gold and silver lapel pin to compliment his look.

The British model clinched the Fashion Icon of the Year at the event.

Campbell was honoured by singer and actress Zendaya, while Legend was presented with the Hugo Boss most stylish man prize by his wife Chrissy Teigen.

This is not the first time the duo are making an appearance together.

In May, during the singer’s concert at the 02 Arena, Naomi ushered in the singer. The following month in Paris, the pair walked the runway together for international fashion brand, Dolce and Gabbana.

According to Nike,

The jersey will be available on the Nike web store from September 10.

Popular Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun, better known by his stage name, Wizkid, during the weekend, took to Twitter to announce his plan to build schools in every country in Africa.

Hours after baring his intentions via a series of tweets, Starboy took down his post leaving his fans pondering on the authenticity of the tweets.

The singer had called on his fans to help him choose countries, where he would launch the initiative.

The tweets had read: “Using my own profits from this business partnership with Nike to build a school back home in Lagos. #Educationforeverychild.

“I’ll need help from fans to pick where we start this. Trying to build a school in every country in Africa. That’s my dream. Surulere, Lagos, Ghana and Benin Republic.”

However, a visit to his Twitter handle on Sunday, showed that the tweet had been deleted.

Teebillz Speaks On Wizkid And Tiwa Savage’s Sexual Relationship For The 1st Time

Tiwa Savage’s estranged husband, Tee Billz, has dismissed rumours of the singer’s sexual relationship with fellow music artiste, Wizkid.

The music executive, who his speaking about this matter for the first time, took to his Instagram page on Monday, September 10, 2018, where he posted a photo of Wizkid and himself.

He went on to refer to Wizkid as his “little brother who cannot cross the line” by having sex with his ex-wife.

“My Big Homie Sauce kid aka Sinzu guaranteed me on that even though he’s my blood. I’m just saying this to the general public that tends to come at me on some disrespectful Shit!!!

Popular Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun a.k.a Wizkid is on top of the world as his new creation jersey, designed by athletic apparel giant `Nike’ sold out 10 minutes after launch.

The partnership is the first between the sports/active wear giant and a Nigerian entertainer.

The co-creation stadium shirt, which costs £64.95 and when converted to Naira costs around N30,000, is now available on Nike’s website.

The `Soco’ crooner had announced and shared on his instagram handle @Wizkidayo that his Star Boy wears, a collaboration with Nike was coming out.

After a much-anticipated wait, the `Star Boy’ jersey, which was released on Monday at selected Nike stores sold out in 10 minutes.

It only took minutes for the pop star to return to his instagram handle and write:

“That was fast! Sold out in 10 minutes! Love you all like crazy! God is working harder than the devil!’’.

According to Nike, the collaboration shirt is a celebration of Wizkid’s Nigerian roots and also a representation of the things that caught the fancy of Star Boy; football and fashion.

The organizers of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) have announced the nominations for the 2018 edition of the awards, which will hold on November 10 in Washington DC, US.

Samklef Reveals How He Overcame Depression, Talks Akon And Wizkid

As the gale of depression continues to dominate the news, popular music producer and singer, Samklef, has revealed that he has also had his fair share of the emotional turmoil.

Speaking with The Punch on Sunday, the ace music producer, said:

“Entertainers are human beings too and we also go through tough times. When the issue of Harrysong came up, I understood his plight because I’ve also been in a similar situation.”

On what triggered the emotional turmoil, Samklef said:

“It has to do with my upbringing. I lost my father at a very early age and I didn’t grow up with my parents. Imagine an 11-year-old boy, who had to struggle for everything in life, but he was eventually able to turn all the negativity into something positive.”

“That is my story and it still affects me till date because I’m very emotional. Till now, I don’t like playing games because I would feel very bad if I lose. I always like to win.”

On how he overcame it, he said:

 “Whenever I’m feeling down, I listen to soul-lifting songs such as those by Don Moen and other inspirational singers. That’s my reset button. If you ask anybody around me, they know there’s no dull moment with me. I always stay away from negative vibes because I’m very emotional.”

The singer further maintained that he had never considered committing suicide despite the low moments in his life.

“I have never considered suicide. I have been through worse things and I always survived. At the age of 14, I was on the streets of Lagos Island living alone. I realise that everything I’m going through is a phase. There are times that one would feel that things are not working out and that happens to everybody. Once something is not working out for me, I move on to the next thing,” he said.

Dismissing insinuations that his recording deal with Akon’s Konvict Music had not been favourable to him, Samklef said:

“Everything is fine and my album will be out soon. People, who feel Akon has not been supporting my career, should ask him if that is so. We have a perfect deal and I’m okay with it. Things may be rough at the beginning but everything will take shape eventually.”

On his relationship with Wizkid, he said:

“I wouldn’t actually say we fell out. It is just that everybody has moved on and I am happy for his progress. He is making everybody proud. Success is not about how much you have but about how much impact you have on people’s lives. We recorded some songs together in 2016 which we didn’t release and we might decide to put them out later. Personally, I have paid my dues in the industry and I am happy about that. People, especially haters, will always talk. If you’re not important, nobody will talk about you.”

Wizkid’s Babymama Explodes! Drags Singer To Mud On Instagram Over Their Son

It is a Thursday morning and multiple award-winning singer, Aydoeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, takes center stage on social media after his first babymama, Ogudu Oluwanishola, revealed some never seen before chat messages she had with him on Instagram.

The young lady who appears to be in her 20s took to her Instagram page on Wednesday, September 19, to share private chat messages she had with him in her attempt to explain some of the things the singer has done to her and their son, Boluwatife.

Shola also revealed that it became necessary for her to bare the private chat messages to the public just to debunk the claims that she is just after the singer’s money.

In one of the screenshots of their chats, Oluwanishola talked about how Wizkid is always begged, forced by family members to pay for his child’s school fees.

‘…You only cared for yourself alone and how the public perceived you. As long as the public saw you as good, then why do you have to perform your fatherly duties? … Even the starboy chain you claimed you got for him, didn’t you collect it back? Social media daddy. Always quick to go to do that which portrayed you as a good dad to the public instead of showing us actual real love…’, she slammed in one of the chats.
